President Donald Trump signed the TRACED Act into law on December 30, 2019. The bill had passed both houses of Congress with near-unanimous, bipartisan support.
The act—whose name is an acronym for Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence—is a major piece of new legislation overhauling the regulation of robocalls. We have covered the law in greater depth here.
