Advisory: State of Emergency Declared in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington D.C.

Numerous counties in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington D.C. have declared a state of emergency. While there is no law prohibiting marketing to these areas, limiting solicitation calls and texts is recommended during Hurricane Florence.  Contact Center Compliance will continue to monitor the development of this storm and issue additional advisories as warranted.

State of Emergency Lifted in Louisiana

Louisiana has lifted the restriction on telemarketing (including text marketing) put into place due to Tropical Storm Gordon. The state of emergency was just lifted today, September 5th, 2018. 

Telephonic solicitations into the state can resume in compliance with the general provisions of the LPSC Do Not Call Program General Order, LPSC General Order R-29617.

State of Emergency Declared in Louisiana

Louisiana has restricted telemarketing (including text marketing) in response to Tropical Storm Gordon. The state of emergency is effective today, September 3, 2018 until October 3, 2018 unless terminated sooner.  We will keep you updated when the restriction is lifted.
